Secure Your Own Apps with the eperi Gateway

Templates make the eperi Gateway flexible

The eperi Gateway is more flexible than any other cloud data protection solution on the market because it processes data in applications based on interchangeable templates. These templates are XML files that describe which data is encrypted or tokenized in the data stream. This way, you have full control over the impact of the solution: decide exactly which data is encrypted, tokenized or left in plaintext, and adapt the template with few clicks as requirements change.

Templates can include both executable Java code to extend the functionality of the eperi Gateway as well as complex workflow definitions in BPEL (Business Process Execution Language). They are either produced by eperi, the respective partners or by the customers themselves. For popular applications like Office 365 or Salesforce, standard templates are available, which are kept up-to-date by eperi and partners and make the eperi Gateway usable for the respective application out of the box.

Simply encrypt your own apps and create new templates

With the eperi Application Analyzer, eperi offers a powerful tool that allows customers to quickly and easily create their own templates – for example for company-specific applications or special solutions. The eperi Gateway automatically detects input fields and variables of the target application either as a transparent proxy in the data stream or as an API proxy via the interface of the backend system. Company-specific policy administrators define the respective security settings. The encryption or tokenization to be used can optionally be selected for each defined field. The template file that is created this way is imported into the eperi Gateway and the specific application data can be immediately encrypted or tokenised with the eperi Gateway.
