Telecomputer develops IT solutions for public administration, among others IKOL-KFZ, one of the most frequently installed vehicle registration procedures in Germany. The stored data was supposed to be stored in the IBM SoftLayer Cloud and needed to be securely encrypted. For Telecomputer the use of a reliable encryption solution developed in Germany was of great importance as the strict data protection requirements of the federal government and the federal states were to be implemented. The eperi Gateway for Databases encrypts all sensitive data from IKOL-KFZ before the data is stored in the database.
