But what exactly does eperi® do? As a leading German provider in the IT security industry, we support numerous customers every day in protecting their data from unauthorized access and thus fully exploiting the advantages of the Cloud. We do this in the manner recommended by the latest technology: Encrypt sensitive data before it reaches the cloud so that it is secure on the way there and during storage and use. Employees see all data unencrypted and can continue to use the important functions such as searching, sorting, etc. in the protected applications. In the event of a cyberattack, the hackers will only find the data in encrypted form, making it completely unusable. By using our sEcure solution, customers no longer have to worry about data security, compliance and liability.

We support the advancing digitalization with our agile approach: Sensitive data can be encrypted within various Cloud applications and web applications in an IT environment, yet they can still communicate and exchange data effortlessly. With just one solution, all of the company's sensitive data is protected - in SaaS applications, web applications, in-house developments and files.
In this way, we not only help our customers to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access. We also ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations such as DORA or NIS-2 and data protection regulations such as the Trade Secrets Protection Act (GeschGehG), the Chinese Cyber Security Law or the GDPR.

About Equistone Partners Europe
Equistone Partners Europe is one of the most active European equity investors with a team of more than 40 investment specialists in seven offices in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France and the UK. Equistone primarily invests in established medium-sized companies with a good market position, above-average growth potential and an enterprise value of between 50 and 500 million euro. Since its foundation in the DACH region and the Netherlands, Equistone has been invested in around 160 transactions, mainly medium-sized buy-outs. The portfolio currently comprises over 50 companies across Europe, including around 20 active holdings in Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Equistone is currently investing from its sixth fund, which was closed in March 2018 with EUR 2.8 billion.

eperi® - Future-proof encryption
In our research, we cooperate continuously with leading cryptographers and globally recognized scientists. Together with Deutsche Telekom and TU Darmstadt, for example, post-quantum crypto algorithms have been developed that are also secure against quantum computers. These future-proof algorithms were the first commercial solution worldwide to be integrated into the eperi® sEcure solution. It was the world's first commercially available solution to contain these elements.
