Cloud without data encryption harbors uncontrollable risks

One option for legally compliant data processing in the Cloud is data encryption. According to KuppingerCole, there are currently various encryption solutions for Cloud data on the market. According to the analysts, however, only a few fully implement the principle required by the GDPR and ensure that only the person who stores their data in the Cloud has control over its encryption. A suitable solution must encrypt the data before it is transferred to the Cloud and must not grant the Cloud provider access to keys and encryption at any time.
